The Traub TNM series has a CNC multi slide automatic design for complete manufacture of smaller machined components. With 5 NC – axes, it is designed to machine small and medium batches of precision parts. It easily replaces existing cam-operated lathes without any loss in machining output. On the machine are four very sturdy plunge slides. These are arranged around the main spindle to accommodate form tools up to 40mm wide. Each slide can be individually moved. The NC controlled star-type turret can accommodate 8 tools. Located in one of the turret station is a hydraulically operated pick up spindle. This allows for precision turned part manufacture.
The Cincom L20E is a state of the art Swiss turning center due to the All-axis Cincom System M7 control (Mitsubishi Meldas 70LPC). The standard seven machining axes (X1, Y1, Z1, X2, Z2, C1, C2) and one bar loader axis can make easy work of your toughest turned part manufacturing applications.
Compared with earlier generations of the L Series, the L20E delivers substantial improvements in productivity. Under the same cutting conditions of spindle speed and feed rate, Citizen’s Cincom Control, in conjunction with increased rapid feed rate has reduced cycle time. The L20E offers the additional advantage of faster set-up to offer competitively priced turned parts.
Traub TNM 42
The Traub TNM42 offers a large machining diameter of 42mm precision turned parts. With 4-cross slides and an 8 station turret it allows complex manufacture of turned parts. This machine has driven tooling on both main turret and bast (for back working). All in all a very capable and rigid machine with great capability in machining all materials. This machine lends itself to heavy machining of steel turned parts and stainless steel turned parts. The addition of a 3 metre bar feed makes this a great machine tool for all batch sizes of cnc machined parts. Tool monitoring is built in to this machine to give great quality of components offering customer satisfaction. These machines have allowed us to develop new business in the West Midlands and UK.
